Firm Foundation partnered with law enforcement, criminal justice system, community partners, and churches to make Fugitive Safe Surrender a huge success in Harrisburg and Dauphin County.  Over 1250 fugitives turned themselves in to Zion Assembly (a Harrisburg church) and over 5,700 warrants were cleared.

Thanks to Highmark Blue Shield and all of our supporters and walkers for making our 2nd year of participation in Walk for a Healthy Community a great success.  Firm Foundation was named "Most Improved Organization" with an increase of 50% over last year's giving! Thanks again and see you again on City Island in the Spring of 2010.

Mission - Firm Foundation of PA is a grassroots Christian Community Development Corporation with 501(c)(3) nonprofit status whose mission is to foster revitalization within the lives and environments of the Capital Region through economic empowerment, restorative justice initiatives, housing improvement, educational enrichments, and community advocacy.

Christian Community Development Firm Foundation strives to institute a holistic approach to Christian Community Development.  We value Church-based ministry, evangelism and social action as equally important partners, incarnational grass-roots movements, and the pursuit of  justice and peace (shalom).

Learning Organization Firm Foundation strives to be a Learning Organization which builds upon the core disciplines of Systemic Action/Thought, Personal Mastery, Mental Models, Shared Vision, and Team Learning. We attempt to systemically analyze community dynamics and steer away from unintended negative consequences.

Asset-Based We strive to utilize an asset-based approach that leverages the community’s capacity rather than continuously highlighting the community’s “needs” and “deficits.”

Collaborative Capacity Building As called upon by the faith-based community, Firm Foundation will serve as an intermediary for collaborative faith-based community development efforts, building capacity and serving as a conduit for funding.

Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings. Isaiah 58:12
